PhD in Gender, Sexuality and Culture
Studies in Gender, Sexuality and Culture offers students the opportunity to undertake interdisciplinary and innovative graduate research.
The ANU has strengths in feminist theory, anthropology and history; literary, critical and cultural studies; gender and development; and international studies. More specific areas of expertise include: trauma studies; feminist and cultural studies of medicine, health and embodiment; South East Asian cinema and popular culture; and Asian modernities; law, literature and popular culture. Students may also study: feminist international relations; nationalism, maternity and sexuality; gender, migration and globalisation; and gender, cinema and visual culture.

A range of scholarships are available for PhD students. Applications for scholarships for international students close on 31 August each year, and applications for scholarships for domestic students are open until 31 October each year.
